(I had to teach also selected Pali texts and Aśokāvadāna, Rasagangadhara, Vivaranaprameya samgraha, etc. as required in our Department during my long service period. Vivaranaprameyasamgraha is in the Syllabus of our PhD research course for Vedanta in Burdwan University).
- Awards –
(i) I received Sri Aurobindo Puraskar (in 2007) awarded by Sri Aurobindo Society of Kolkata for lifelong Sanskrit writings including Sanskrit poems research papers and other works.
(ii) I am winner also of Narapat Ray Khairayati lal jain smrti Puraskar in the Prakrit Language Examination arranged by Bhogilal Leher Chand Institute of Indology in Delhi Jaina Mandir. The puraskar was given by Narapal Ray Khairayati Lal Jain Foundation on – 14/06/1998.
(iii) I am Wimer of Umacharan Sarvamangala Silver Medal (in B.A Exam), Satyacharan Memorial Gold Medal, and Burdwan University Gold Medal (in M.A Exam.)

12. Still some students are doing their research works under the supervision of Niradbaran Mandal
- Now I am a co-editor of the literary journal (six monthly) named ‘Samkalpa’ I participate also in various social and cultural programs at various places. I am a life member of the Indian Society for Buddhist Studies and a life member of Birbhum Sahitya Parisad.
I am still physically fit and mentally energetic. I am interested in literary and cultural activities and in undertaking sponsored research projects and inter-disciplinary research and Academic Seminars.
